The fast speed of modern life makes people have no idea of stop and look back what they have passed, not to mention thinking about the future path. Sometimes people just walk forward blindly, taking detours or wrong ways without realization.
The student of Confucius, Zenzi, said: “I examine myself three times a day.” It means the more you introspect yourself, the more lessons and more inspiration you can get. So we really should learn to look back sometimes.
From this reason, I’d like to set up a crunode which is very strict. People have no reason to deny it. The crunode is that we all going to die today. Death represents stop and finality.When we dead we could stop to rethink about our life, and to introspect ourselves.

To concrete the conception of death, we think about grave, a place for terminal peaceful sleepiness. Where there’s a grave, there’s a gravestone. My conception of gravestone means terminal. And the concrete representative of this crunode is the gravestone which means we should stop.
It’s both the commemoration for the past and the outlook for the future.

In ancient time, because of wars and removals, people couldn’t remember locations of their ancestral graves. They put sticks with fiber material (silks or paper) written names, dates of birth and death in front of graves. But sticks and fiber are fragile. Finally it evolved into solid gravestone, commemorating the death of deceased.
INSPIRATION
1.The Facanadel Naixement in Sagrada Família of the famous Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi i Cornet
Church, a place to recall the past and commemorate the dead, is also a room for the living to look forward.The“FacanadelNaixement” represents the miracle of life. It is for memory and expectation.
2.The Infinity Mirror Room of Yayoi Kusama. It sets people in dreamland. And the atmosphere reminds me unexpected death.

The reflect material,reflecting people’s faces, like photos on gravestone, make it easier for audience to think about dying and the past.
The implication of triangle:
I hope human heart can be as strong as triangle which is stable due to the structure. And broken fragments of triangles represent the past worth of recalling.

There’s phosphorus in human bones and when phosphorus meets water or alkali, it would create phosphine, a kind of hypergolic gas. Its burning is caused by the friction of phosphorus and when it burns there’s no flame but light.
